Welcome to MyCatch by Angler's Atlas, a fishing app designed to assist anglers in recording their catches, participating in fishing events, or simply tracking their statistics. With this app, users can effortlessly browse through thousands of fishing locations and log every fish they catch. Initially launched in 2018, MyCatch was created as a means for anglers to monitor their catches while aiding fisheries biologists by supplying crucial catch data. Since its inception, MyCatch users have collaborated with numerous university researchers across Canada and the United States, playing an integral role in addressing significant questions and gaps in fisheries science. From a conservation perspective, MyCatch has developed efficient catch reporting tools that enable anglers to swiftly record their catch and return the fish to the water in under a minute—a practice known as Catch-Photo-Release, which has become a defining feature of our event series available on the app.
